16 players took part in today’s game held at Seri Selangor. Due to major refurbishment to the amenities the check in was held in a temporary room which also doubled up as the restaurant.  There was only 1 person processing the payments which caused confusion and delays as there appeared to be many groups trying to register and pay at the same time.  We managed to get a Friday Special deal which was MYR 90 for seniors plus an additional 20 for the compulsory caddy.  The mens changing room had also been upgraded which is a vast improvement on the previous room.
We eventually managed to tee off 2 separate boxes and completed the round in just under 4 hours.  The course was in good shape and benefiting from the recent improvements.  The greens were generally in good condition but a little patchy in places on some greens.  Fortunately, the weather stayed relatively cool for most of the round but heated up towards the end of the round as the sun shone through the clouds.

Farewell Lunch

Today we sadly said goodbye to Kevin Wiggins who has been a member of Frid Eggs since 2014. He played a total of 130 games with 10 victories.  Kevin kindly and generously hosted todays excellent lunch at Pantai Seafood Restaurant which was attended by 21 people. Tony did an excellent job ordering the  food which was washed down with 45 large bottles of Tiger and bottles of wine.  As is customary todays winner Graham received a free lunch. Peter gave a speech and presentation thanking Kevin and wishing him and his family all the very best on their return to England later this month. Kevin responded by giving us some interesting insights to his upbringing and life in Peru, Asia and the States.

Peter was also presented with 2 sleeves of balls for being player of the month for July, and only won on count back from Julien who both ended up with the same no of points for the month.
